Kosovo Customs begins implementing the decision on additional tax on Serbian goods (RTS)

Radio Television Serbia reports that Adriatik Stavileci, Kosovo customs spokesman told the media in Pristina that Kosovo Customs Service has begun to apply the decision of the Kosovo government on additional taxation of 10 percent for imports of products from central Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Stavileci say that this is a volume of goods worth hundreds of millions of euros during the year.

The Kosovo Assembly’s Committee for Economic Development adopted today in the first reading the draft law on the Trepca mining complex, which will be discussed at the plenary assembly session on Friday. Serbian List representative, Sasa Milosavljevic, said Serb MPs would not vote in favour of the draft law in its current content. He also criticised the government for not inviting Serb representatives to attend discussions on the draft law.

Kosovo authorities send back Serbian trucks (Koha)

Kosovo’s customs authorities told Radio Free Europe that they have sent back a truck traveling  from Serbia to Kosovo. Adriatik Stavileci, spokesman for the Kosovo Customs, said this comes as a result of a decision made by Kosovo authorities to introduce reciprocity measures against Serbia on oil and gas transport. “Yesterday at the border crossing point in Merdare we have sent back the first truck that was traveling from Serbia to Kosovo,” Stavileci said.

Mustafa: Kosovo to have its telephone code by end of month (Koha)

Kosovo’s Prime Minister Isa Mustafa told a press conference in Pristina today that Kosovo will have its state telephone code by the end of this month. During a presentation of his government’s achievements in the economy, Mustafa highlighted the commitment to construct the Kosova e Re power plant and two projects for the Trepca mining complex. Mustafa said that an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia on energy is expected this month. He also said that the boards of public enterprises would be completed by mid-September.
