Agim Ceku: If I need to, I will defend myself before the Special Court (KIM radio)

Former KLA commander and Deputy Minister of the Security Forces of Kosovo Agim Ceku told RTV Kim in the TV Show ''Dogovor!?'' that he is ready to defend himself before the Special Court, in case he would be one of the war crimes suspects, reports KIM radio portal.

Agim Ceku is just one of the Albanian officials mentioned by media in Kosovo and Serbia as potential suspect before the court, reports KIM radio.

Special Prosecutor of EULEX for war crimes, Paul Flynn, heard Darko Tasic, suspected of committing a war crime against the civilian population, as part of an investigation into the events in Mala Krusa near Prizren.

The new Special Court to try former Kosovo Liberation Army members for wartime and post-war crimes is not an attack on the struggle for independence, but an attempt to prosecute criminals.

Kosovo Special Prosecution said in a statement today that it has found no sufficient evidence to charge the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Nenad Rikalo, after he was accused of being involved in mistreatement of his former Albanian neighbours during the 1998-99 conflict. “Based on a preliminary inquiry, the Republic of Kosovo Special Prosecution has concluded there is no sufficient evidence to support a war crimes case. If new evidence surface, the prosecution can open a new inquiry,” the statement reads.

Mušutište: A man from a group of displaced Serbs arrested (Kontakt plus radio)

Bogdan Mitrović (74) from Sopina was arrested in Suharekë / Suva Reka by being taken out of a group of displaced Serbs who visited their houses and the Holy Virgin's Church in Mušutište, reports Kontakt plus radio.

Special forces of the Kosovo police searched the bus that brought them, and arrested Mitrović. Mitrović was charged of serious crimes and war crimes. The police took him to Prizren, reports the radio.

End of “war coalition”? Daut indicted, Ramush and Thaci witnesses? (Blic, Tanjug, B92)

The Kosovo Special Court for KLA War Crimes, would definitely start working end of this year or at the beginning of the next one. Daut Haradinaj would most probably be the first indicted person, Serbian media reported.

Blic daily further said that Daut’s brother Ramush, and the current Kosovo President Hashim Thaci would be witnesses. Blic quoted an unnamed foreign diplomat from Kosovo who said everything is ready for the first indictments and first arrests.

More than 160 persons of the Albanian nationality are charged for the war crimes in Kosovo at the Serbian War Crimes Prosecution, Blic daily wrote on weekend.

These persons, mainly members of the KLA, are suspected of committing the crimes against Serbs and non-Albanian population during the conflict in Kosovo, since the end of 1997 till the end of NATO bombardment in 1999.

Investigations in Serbia are also carried out against Hashim Thaci, current Kosovo President and Ramush Haradinaj.

Prosecution for KLA crimes to raise indictment against Daut Haradinaj (Sputnik)

Sputnik daily reported, quoting reliable sources, that in addition to the crimes Daut Haradinaj has committed while in KLA uniform, he could be hold responsible for connections with Al-Qaida and DAESH.

The name of Daut Haradinaj, brother of the current nominee to form the Kosovo Government, Ramush Haradinaj, would be on the first indictment of the Special Court for KLA crimes, Sputnik claims.
