Djuric: Srpska Lista extremely significant for Serbia in Kosovo (N1, FoNet, RTS)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djuric said on Thursday Srpska Lista would make all decisions related to Kosovo elections in the consultations with the President Aleksandar Vucic and urged Serbs to be ready to take part and be united, BETA news agency reports. He added that Srpska Lista was Serbia's “immensely important instrument” in exercising national interests in Kosovo. “These are not elections in which people should decide among more parties as it is the case in central Serbia where we can split into a thousand and one way.

EC: Serbia will have to terminate the agreement with Eurasian Union (Tanjug, B92)

Serbia must terminate a new trade agreement with Russia's Eurasian Economic Union when it joins the European Union. This is a clear message from European Commission to Serbia, Tanjug news agency reports today. "Serbia can enter into agreements with other states or organizations prior to joining EU. However, in the perspective of negotiating accession, Serbia has pledged to withdraw from all bilateral trade agreements on the day of EU accession", the Commission said.

Brnabic met with Borrell (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic pays one-day visit to Spain where she met with the Spanish Foreign Affairs Minister and newly appointed EU High Representative Josep Borrell, Tanjug news agency reports. The main topics of the meeting included bilateral relations, Serbia’s EU integration and Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. Particular attention would be given to Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, given that Borrell would be a mediator in this process, once it gets restored.

Chairman of the Serbian National Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun said Albanians are not ready to take part in the process of finding out who were the perpetrators of the most serious crimes, Tanjug news agency reported. According to Drecun their aim is to make the investigations difficult, conceal the evidence and prevent finding of the truth. Drecun made these remarks in relation to the decision of Pristina authorities to refuse to handover mortal remains in Pristina of the seven members of the Serb families Sutkovic and Petkovic killed in 1999 in Djakovica.

Odalovic: They do not give remains of killed Serbs to families (Radio KIM)

Kosovo authorities have refused to hand over in Pristina mortal remains of seven members of Sutakovic and Petrovic families kidnapped and killed in Djakovica in 1999. They agree to hand over the remains to the families at administrative crossing with Montenegro, Radio KIM reports. These are remains of seven persons, five from Sutakovic and two from Petrovic families. In June 1999, Djordje, Darinka and their three underage sons, Aleksandar, Djordje and Radoman were taken away.

Eparchy of Raska-Prizren condemned stoning of bus from Kosovo (KoSSev)

The Eparchy of Raska-Prizren condemned “the act of vandalism“ – the stoning of a bus from Kosovo in the vicinity of Krusevac (central Serbia), KoSSev portal reports. “Not only are such cases inhumane, but they also indirectly jeopardize the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija“, the Eparchy said in a statement, adding that the perpetrators should be found and brought to justice. The bus traveling from Prizren to Frankfurt was stoned on August 25, at about 2 a.m. in the vicinity of Krusevac, Kosovo media reported.

Djilas: McAllister won’t call situation in Serbia by real name (FoNet, N1)

Serbian opposition leader Dragan Djilas said on Monday that European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman David McAllister knows exactly what is happening in Serbia but refuses to call things by their real name, FoNet news agency reports. The leader of the Freedom and Justice Party (SSP) issued a written statement saying that if McAllister really wanted to hear about the situation in Serbia he should met with the expert team of the “1 in 5 Million” protest as well as representatives of all political parties and of the people who have been staging protests for the past eight months.
