Drecun: Kosovo Serbs should have safe future (Tanjug)

It must be ensured that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija have sustainable prospects and a safe future, the chairman of the Serbian parliamentary committee on Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, said on Thursday. Speaking to reporters in the Serbian parliament, Drecun said that normalisation of relations with Albanians living in Kosovo and Metohija is important in that process.

Ten contentious points of EU's draft resolution (Tanjug)

Serbia has a number of objections to the EU's draft platform on common negotiating platform for Chapter 35, and the most important ones Tanjug has had insight into are:
1) There is no standard part referring to harmonization of content with common rules and regulations of the EU (acquis communitaire), which is contained in all platforms for other chapters.

Kocijancic: EU member states to decide on Chapter 35 (Politika)

European Commission has forwarded the draft platform to EU member states along with the recommendation for the Chapter to be opened, and it is up to member states to propose eventual amendments and decide on the opening of the chapter, said spokesperson of the EU High Representative Maja Kocijancic, who also speaks in behalf of the EU Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.

Chinese ambassador: Solution for Kosovo under Resolution 1244 (Tanjug)

China's official position is that the issue of Kosovo needs to be solved pursuant to UN Security Council Resolution 1244, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang said in Jagodina on Wednesday.

The Resolution precisely states what Kosovo's status is and that Kosovo is an integral part of Serbia and, in that sense, Serbia has our full support, said Ambassador Li, who is visiting Jagodina on Wednesday.

Speaking at a press conference, he reminded that China has not recognised Kosovo.
