Vucic: Revoke taxes and end provocations to resume dialogue (Serbian Government, B92)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said the current stall in the (Kosovo) dialogue can be overcome only when Pristina abolishes taxes on goods from central Serbia.

Speaking on Monday in Belgrade, Vucic added that the dialogue can continue when Pristina ceases with provocations, such as the change in the statute of the Trepca mining complex (in northern Kosovo), which the president assessed was a grab of Serbian property.

Memorial plaque dedicated to missing journalists Djuro Slavuj and Ranko Perenic demolished for seventh time (Radio KIM)

A memorial plaque placed on the spot from where journalists Djuro Slavuj and Ranko Perenic were abducted on 21 August 1998 was demolished and taken away for the seventh time in the last six years. Demolished plaque was found near the spot by President of Association of Journalists of Serbia in Kosovo, Budimir Nicic and Association of Journalists of Serbia Managing Board member Zivojin Rakocevic, Radio KIM reports.

"Kosovo historically part of Serbia, as Crimea is of Russia" (Tanjug, Politika, B92)

Venezuela will never recognize Kosovo's independence, charge d'affairs of the country's embassy in Belgrade Dija Nader de El-Andari has said. Kosovo is a historical part of Serbia, as Crimea is a historical part of Russia, she added.

"Venezuela has always been on the side of Serbia in all international organizations. Likewise, Serbia has done for us," El-Andari has told Politika daily.

Rikalo on politics in Pristina, his reposition (RTS)

Over the last two decades a mechanism “as Americans say” was ruling in Pristina, however, it disappeared in the last two months, Nenad Rikalo told RTS.

He added, an environment “who would deceive whom” prevails in Pristina, with Haradinaj wining major popularity with the move on tariffs, while Thaci’s PDK leads politics to the certain extent harmonized with that of the USA.

Rikalo also underlined that the Serbs would fight with all political means at disposal to defend the interests of Brezovica, Trepca, Gazivode and the Serbs in enclaves.

Smajlovic: We can talk about correction of borders (RTS)

A journalist and former Editor-in-Chief of Belgrade-based daily Politika, Ljljana Smajlovic told RTS the US already got involved in Kosovo and Metohija issue, adding the letter President Vucic sent to his counterpart Trump is a logical move.

She opined Albanians would rather lose the north of Kosovo than to have Community of Serb-majority Municipalities and some “sort of Republic of Srpska” within their territory, that would have powers to decide on certain matters.

Scott: To know the line – where is Serbia, and where is Kosovo (Prva TV, B92)

US Ambassador to Serbia, Kyle Scott said it is important to know where Serbia is and where is Kosovo, B92 reports.

Speaking for Prva TV morning programme, Ambassador Scott also spoke about the letter President Vucic sent to his counterpart Trump.

“I fully agree with Vucic, it is important that both sides return to the negotiation table, and to reach a comprehensive solution through dialogue. Tariffs are an obstacle (..),” Ambassador Scott noted.

One year after Gracanica-based Serbian National Forum (SNF) had a talk with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, the SNF in a letter sent to the President of Serbia, said the right question to Vucic is not “how much Serbian people are ready to pay for Kosovo and Metohija", but “how much the President is ready to pay in order to remain in power,” Radio KIM reports.

Vucic wrote to Trump, requests support in finding solution for Kosovo (RTS)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic wrote a letter to the US President Donald Trump, asking for support in finding a lasting and sustainable solution for Kosovo and Metohija, as well as invited him to visit Serbia, RTS reports.

Vucic thanked Trump for the support the US offers to Serbia on its EU path, in particular for the support in preserving the peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
