Serbs increasingly leave Orahovac/Rahovec and only in recent days in one the part of this municipality were sold 15 Serbian houses, reads Frankfurt based daily, adding that remaining Serbs from that municipality are very worried.

“If this trend continues, until the end of the year there will be none of the remaining 300 Serbs in the Serbian part of Orahovac,” warn the remaining Serbs. They appealed to the president and the government of Serbia to immediately take all necessary measures, to find solution and possibly buy remaining houses. “We stayed when it was the worst situation, and now they are expelling us with money,” said Serbs from Orahovac/Rahovec. In the last seven days, in the upper part of Orahovac/Rahovec, were sold 15 Serbian houses. Houses are sold at prices ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 euros.

Former mayor of Orahovac/Rahovec, Marjan Saric recalls that during the Brussels talks, improving the position of the Serbs in Kosovo was discussed in many occasions. However, one year later there is no improvement in solving the life problems of all citizens of Kosovo and Metohija.
