The Ministry of Internal Affairs is not informed about the execution of agent of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI) in the war in Syria.  Head of this Ministry, Bajram Rexhepi stated for Indeksonline that it is not the duty of his Ministry to deal with such cases.

He said that AKI should report to the Assembly of Kosovo on this case. “We are not aware and this is not our duty. Kosovo Intelligence Agency is independent. It is not my competency. AKI reports to the Assembly and not to the Ministry of Interior,” said Rexhepi. Koha Ditore has published today an article on the execution of this agent. “An agent of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI) was executed in Syria earlier this year shortly after he was infiltrated among Albanian Jihadi groups fighting alongside terrorist organizations, the paper reports on the front page. Different sources, including those in the AKI, told the paper that the agent was executed at close range. Sources in the AKI said they believe the agent did not receive proper assistance and guidance,” reported this daily.
