Prior to his detention by French authorities on 4 January, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) leader Ramush Haradinaj was apparently detained by the German police but let go shortly after. An official from the AAK told Indeksonline that Haradinaj was detained until authorities verified the same arrest warrant on which he was subsequently arrested for in France. This took the Germans eight minutes, the source said.
