Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are the main holders of the process of the creation of the Association/Community of Serbian municipalities, along with participation of Belgrade and Pristina. Pristina was not ready to make the smallest step when it comes to the creation of the A/CSM, thus we consider that it is necessary for the process of its establishment to start without any delays, said director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Đurić, in a TV B92 show.
He commented the delay of the court decision on extradition to Serbia of the former commander of the ‘Kosovo Liberation Army’, Ramush Haradinaj, who is detained in France on the basis of the international arrest warrant. Crime has to have the name and surname, and criminals have to be held responsible, said Đurić. Serbia had submitted to French authorities all necessary documentation that they can extradite Haradinaj to Serbia, said Đurić and added that Hague tribunal, in its scandalous proceedings, had released many persons responsible for crimes against Serbs. “However there are new evidence for new court cases, even though many witnesses have been killed by terrorists in the previous period,” said Đurić
He also reflected and on the meeting with the head of UNMIK, Zahir Tanin, and said that UN and UNMIK are expected to have presence and active role and actions in the field, instead of only writing reports.
