In a surprise move, David Schwendiman, the chief prosecutor of the recently-established, Hague-based Kosovo Specialist Chambers, announced he will step down soon because of his retirement as a US official.
Specialist Prosecutor David Schwendiman said on Thursday he will leave at the end of March due to the expiry of his fixed-term appointment as a senior foreign service officer with the US State Department.
