Kosovo Minister of Local-Governance and Administration, Ivan Todosijevic and USAID Assistant Director for Europe and Asia, Brock Bierman signed yesterday an agreement on LEGO project, worth 12 million euros encompassing 14 municipalities in Kosovo, out of it 10 with the Serb-majority, RTV Puls reported.

The project aims to strengthen capacities of the municipalities, participation of communities in decision-making and managing the institutions. The project will last five years.

Following the signing ceremony, Bierman also met with the Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic.

Jevtic pledged support of the ministry to support the project as it is of crucial importance to institutionally empower non-majority communities with such programs.

He also emphasized the need to create the Association of Serb Municipalities as it is “international obligation of Pristina that would contribute that Serbian people remain, survive and live better in Kosovo,” RTV Puls reported.
