Kosovo Assembly MP from the Social-Democratic Party Faton Topalli, proposed today creation of a parliamentary commission “which would harminise positions of all MPs and draft a text on the tribunal for Serbian genocide in Kosovo.”
His proposal was voted with 62 votes for and none against. “My concrete proposal is for the Assembly to create a parliamentary commission which would then use as ground this text which is submitted to us, harmonise positions and then, jointly, having into consideration the importance of this issue which we have discussed also during the past weeks at the Assembly, sit together and harmonise a text, which will be endorsed by majority of members of the Assembly,” Topalli said.
“We are pro working on this direction of creation of the tribunal, but we are also for treating this matter seriously and not leave it as an individual or a political party initiative, but to find a joint consensus, government and opposition, in order for this matter to be addressed further in the manner that would reach the intentions that we are discussing today,’ Topalli said.
