Most news websites report that Besim Beqaj has resigned today from his post as Minister of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a day after his party leader Kadri Veseli announced that all Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) officials with active indictments would have to relieve their public and party positions. “I submitted my resignation to the Prime Minister this morning,” Beqaj told reporters in Pristina today. “I am confident that the charges against me are unfounded. I promise I will be relieved from the charges because there are no grounds”. Beqaj also said he would continue to perform his duties in the PDK.
