Basic Court in Skopje detained on remand for a period of 30 days Tomor Morina, fomer Kosovo Liberation Army member, arrested by North Macedonian authorities on Wednesday.

The court stated that the extradition of Morina, wanted by Serbia on suspicion of involvement in war crimes, will be decided by the North Macedonian Ministry of Justice.

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev commented on the issue saying that the law will be respected in Morina’s case. “Rule of law and respect for international regulations and laws is a European norm which me and all of you represent,” Zaev said.

Zaev said that one thing was certain that Tomor Morina was a citizen of Kosovo, not of Serbia. “Our country confirms that he is a citizen of Kosovo with a United Kingdom and Kosovo citizenship,” he said.
