Citing unnamed sources, Kosovapress reports that Zvonko Veselinovic, organized crime boss in the northern part of Kosovo, was the protagonist of a recent mass brawl in northern Mitrovica where nine people were injured and one was wounded with firearms.

Sources told the news agency that the incident broke out at a bar in northern Mitrovica and then followed in several locations of the Sumadija Square and lasted for 20 minutes.

“A person from Peja whose last name is Nedeljkovic attacked the wife of Zvonko Veselinovic, hitting her with an iron bar on the head. This happened at Crna Dama. A member of Zvonko’s security detail, Daki Djukic, immediately reacted by firing at Nedeljkovic and wounding him on the leg,” sources said.

Sources also said that police in the north has information on all those involved in the brawl but no arrests were made because of Veselinovic’s authority.

Veselinovic is the main suspect for several assassinations in Serbia, for burning the border checkpoints in northern Kosovo and for his involvement in organized crime in that region.
