Minister of Administration and Local Government, Slobodan Petrovic told KIM radio that according to the Law, the last term for holding constitutive sessions in Kosovo north is 11 January.

According to the same law, if the constitutive sessions will not be held within the stipulated time, new elections will be scheduled. “The deadline is 11 January. After that day new elections should be held, “said Petrovic.

He said that according to his findings, the sessions are postponed for 15 pm, and it is expected that they will be held. “I expect a solution will be found, especially bearing in mind that yesterday and today working groups discussed the issue in Brussels,” said Petrovic.

The four municipalities in northern Kosovo should hold the inaugural sessions, at which the council members and the mayors should officially take over duties.
