Serbs, those in northern Kosovo before all, will have to face the fact that they must implement Kosovo laws and that they participated in Kosovo elections and that they will have to respect it. They will also have to take a bit different oath from the one at the local lever if they turn out united on parliamentary elections, as well, said Randjel Nojkic, leader of the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) in Kosovo and added that he believes in Community of Serbian Municipalities, but not in the head of government’s Office for Kosovo Aleksandar Vulin.

Implementation of Kosovo laws was not mentioned in the campaign?

“Campaign was led completely wrong. First of all it was made a responsibility of a single person, Minister without portfolio Aleksandar Vulin and Office for Kosovo and Metohija. It is normal that they supported one option, but not that they spit on all other political parties, while today we are in situation that they have to make coalitions exactly with those parties. ‘Srpska’ did not manage to win absolute majority anywhere. Vulin is issuing really confusing statements and the truth is that he is trying to set up his party’s structure in Kosovo. I don’t trust him at all.

Why such distrust?
“I know that he caused much of a damage, and I think that he is still  causing damage, particularly now in the course of technical negotiations. I know that in certain negotiations related with integrations he offered much more than he requestsed. The reason behind it is lack of knowledge, lack of insight into situation and because of his efforts to present himself as master-mind who could manage destiny of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

Are citizens disappointed?
“Of course they are. Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija should be told the truth. They are saying in the north that Vulin cheated on them, that he resigned and afterwards kept convincing them to ask for his return. One can’t do such things with Serbs. One should talk openly to them and tell them what they are going to be faced with, and what is Belgrade’s goal exactly, in order that they can jointly struggle for reaching such a goal.

What are Serbs going to be faced with?
“First of all with those in the north, with the situation that Kosovo laws have to be implemented than with the fact that they turn out on elections in line with the Kosovo laws, and that they have to respect them. They will face also the fact that if they turn out united on parliamentary elections they will have to take the oath which will very much defer from the one at the local level. Thus, Serbs are going to face many new challenges and it is not correct that someone cheats on them and keeps convincing them in totally opposite things.

What’s the future of Community of Serbian Municipalities?
“I believe in it. I don’t think that it will receive any executive authority, like the officials keep saying, but I think that it will have clear political message and that it could be a coordinator of all future activities of Serbs in Kosovo institutions, where they will clearly have to fight for their rights. Community of Serbian Municipalities should be the voice of wisdom for Belgrade. As a matter of fact, representatives of the Community should explain to Belgrade’s representatives in charge for Kosovo, what is realistic and what is not, in order that they don’t make statement and just throw the dust in the eyes and give the fake hope,” said Nojkic.
