Member of the Central Election Commission of Kosovo Nenad Rikalo said that until 13:00 there were no candidates applying for the mayoral elections in Northern Mitrovica.
Rikalo said to Beta agency that deadline for the application expires on Wednesday at 18:00.
Mayoral elections for the mayor of Northern Mitrovcia are due to take place on 23 February after Mayor-elect Krstimir Pantic refused to sign the declaration with the attributes of the Kosovo statehood.
Leader of the CI SDP Oliver Ivanovic, who was Pantic’s counter-candidate in the runoff in last mayoral elections was arrested on Monday under war crime charges and murder.
