Krstimir Pantic has been released after being questioned for 30 minutes, at the police station in northern Mitrovica.
The motives of his arrest are not known, while members of Serbian gendarmerie were noticed around the police compound in the north.

Few moments ago, EULEX Police arrested candidate for Mitrovica mayor, Krstimir Pantic.
The news was reported by KosovaPress sources.
Reasons are yet unknown.
Express has tried to confirm the reporting of KosovaPress but information from the north, at present, are contradictory.
EULEX denied the arrest while an official from the Interior Ministry said the report concerns another person, not Pantic.
