EU Special Representative in Kosovo Samuel Žbogar did not wish to comment on the case of detention of Oliver Ivanovic, saying that every court case must be processed without any interference. He also added that he has a lot of faith in an independent and impartial prosecutor’s work, as well judges who work in this case.

Speaking about cadastral documents for three municipalities in Kosovo, which were forwarded by Belgrade, he said that the first 37,000 documents in electronic form have been submitted. “The next action is comparison and verification of cadastral documents that are located in Pristina, in order to establish valid ownership of the property. This will allow access to property rights for all citizens,” explained Zbogar.

When asked whether the documents will be valid proof in disputes before the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court, he said that it can be possible, so that they would be proposed as part of the legal arguments of the cases. “There have been cases of transfer of property without valid documents. Cadastral documents that were submitted will be used to determine the legal ownership,” said Zbogar.

Regarding the problems of occupying Serbian lands in Kosovo, starting from the Pec, he recalled that at the beginning of December last year, the OSCE presented the problem to his office, advising further analysis about the problem. “However, Kosovo Ministry for European Integration has taken the initiative in regards to this issue.
