Leader of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Vojislav Koštunica stated last night in Novi Sad that Serbia, in case of pursuing the EU path, would lose Kosovo, Vojvodina and Raska region.
“It is certain that on our way to the EU we’ll kill our identity and portion by portion of Serbia,” said Koštunica and added that on the same journey Serbia will lose “Kosovo and Metohija, Vojvodina and Raska region”. At the election rally in Novi Sad Koštunica said that DSS will go to elections with the ‘Serbian policy’, since ‘nation is fed up with the policy which is not Serbian’. “Policy of the EU toward Serbia is a disintegration of Serbia, because EU is subordinated to Nato alliance. Is Serbia supposed to become a Nato member and forget who bombed it in 1999?” asked Koštunica. He assessed that upcoming elections are the ‘real small referendum’ where citizens of Serbia should show that they don’t want to go to the EU.
Vice-President of the DSS Nenad Popović said that Serbia will always cooperate with the EU but will never be a member state of that union. He went on to say that Serbia had introduced sanctions against Belorussia and assessed that Serbia will soon be asked to introduce sanction against Russia.
