Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuçi, accompanied by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Bajram Rexhepi, met today with the Prosecutor of the Special Investigative Task Force, Clint Williamson, known as the investigator of the alleged organ trafficking  at the “Yellow House” as well as with EULEX Chief, Berndt Borchardt.

During this meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Kuçi expressed the position of the Government of Kosovo on the work of the task force. He said that the Government of Kosovo is interested to help justice and the truth and to cooperate with the EU and US international partners, “but at the same time, it is interested to respect the jurisdiction of the country and to protect the image of the just war of our country,” informs a press release issued by the Ministry of Justice.

Deputy Prime Minister Kuçi stressed that the Republic of Kosovo has built sufficient capacities in the field of justice to treat any possible case. Justice institutions have increased the required capacities, both of local and international judges, those of EULEX, who can successfully treat justice cases, therefore he requested for each trial to take place in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and in accordance to the laws and jurisdiction of the Republic of Kosovo.
