The front page editorial of this daily writes that the fact that the international community plans establishment of the Tribunal for Kosovo outside Kosovo and keeping the convicted in prisons also outside Kosovo, is a clear message that they do not trust Kosovo’s judicial system. “However, for the sake of the truth, they allowed this degradation themselves, both during the time of UNMIK and later during EULEX era.

According to this daily, it is obvious that establishment of a Tribunal for the alleged crimes of former KLA members, for the murders after the war, and corruption at senior levels of the state, is unavoidable. “The internationals are imposing the Tribunal due to the incapability of Kosovo’s courts and prosecutions to investigate, judge and punish authors of serious crimes or the corrupted. For 15 years, Kosovo did not demonstrate ability to consolidate its own judicial and prosecutorial system, therefore, now we have to accept the reality. A state cannot be sustainable without the rule of law. The Tribunal might be a painful truth, which proves the image of a fragile Republic, but on the other hand, it is a hope for the society that the corrupted politicians could finally receive the response which was missing in Kosovo’s justice.
