Kosovo’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Petrit Selimi, said in an interview for Epoka e Re that some non-recognizing EU member states could decide to recognize Kosovo’s independence this year. Selimi said the Republic of Kosovo launched a very important process that will result in recognitions from Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Slovakia and Romania. Kosovo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized four visits to these countries in the last week. “There is no reason to doubt that one year from today Kosovo will be recognized by one of these EU member states,” Selimi said.
