In the framework of lobbying for the finalization of recognition process, Kosovo minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj, has met in Brussels in the margins of EU – Africa Summit, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea, Osman Saleh, as the foreign Minister of South Sudan, Barnaba Marial Benjamin. During the meetings, Minister Hoxhaj informed both ministers about the internal progress of Kosovo, as well as strengthening of international subjectivity of Kosovo. Hoxhaj also talked about the continuous progress of Kosovo recognitions and for the engagement of Kosovo for membership in European and international organizations. Minister Hoxhaj said after the meeting that both countries in a near future are expected to recognize Kosovo.
Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea, Osman Saleh, said that his country closely follows developments in Kosovo, while positively evaluating results of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
Saleh also said that Eritrea supports the right for self-determination and that in this context it will take necessary steps to strengthen relations with Kosovo.
Foreign minister of South Sudan, Barnaba Marial Benjamin, said that his country supports Kosovo in its path to increase the number of recognitions, while announcing that from South Sudan are expected positive news to strengthen relations with Kosovo.
