In an interview for the paper, Ismet Kryeziu, director of the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), said the first 100 days in municipalities with new mayors have shown increased transparency and accountability and greater commitment to work. Kryeziu also said that despite attempts for transparency, the new mayors have yet to free themselves from party influence. He also remarked that some mayors are failing to keep promises made during the election campaigns.
