At the extraordinary meeting held yesterday in Zvečan/Zveçan representatives of the local self-governments from north Kosovo accused Eulex for marginalizing police in northern Kosovo, and permanent criminalization of the entire Serbian nation.
Nowhere in the world police is not marginalized and brought to the level of directing the traffic like in the north of Kosovo, while entire nation is treated like a war crime suspect, permanently criminalized and accused for avoiding the implementation of the rule of law, reads the statement refereeing to yesterday’s Eulex action in Zubin Potok, carried Beta agency.
They also assessed that ‘Eulex continues the policy of disrespect of requests of the legitimate representatives of Serbs, who requested respect for the Kosovo police as the only structure responsible for security and implementation of the rule of law in the north of Kosovo and Metohija’.
‘By pursuing such policy and modus operandi Eulex seriously jeopardizes general safety in the north, considering that Serbs are treated as unequal partner, unwilling for cooperation in implementing the rule of law,’ reads the statement.
Meeting was attended by mayors, presidents of local assemblies, representatives of the interim bodies of northern municipalities and the Steering Team for the Community of Serbian Municipalities.
