Isa Mustafa: Assembly should be dissolved in two weeks

(TV21)

Mustafa emphasizes that others have also agreed that room should be provided to general elections immediately after voting for establishment of the Special Court and adoption of the Law on Elections.

Mayors of Kosovo northern municipalities request specific legislation for the Association of Serb Municipalities. Prishtinë/Pristina, on the other hand, says that they cannot be part of this Association prior to adoption of municipal statutes.

Gracanica/Graçanicë mayor Branimir Stojanovic says that there is a complicated situation in Prishtinë/Pristina that will prolong the issue of the Association and municipal statutes. Stojanovic considers that there is no political power and definite legislation to do this.

Former Kosovo minister of local government Sadri Ferati said that it is impossible to have other legislation for the Association of Serb Municipalities, beyond the existing one.

The court confirmed that he had abused ballots in Astrazub village during 2010 elections. Because of this, there are also the ones who are requesting that Malishevë/Malisevo municipal director for protection and rescue Ahmet Morina to be dismissed from his post.

“Vetëvendosje Movement requests that this director should be dismissed from the post, because a person who stole ballots potentially might steal funds and misuse power tomorrow,” said Muhamet Bytyqi, Vetëvendosje municipal councillor in Malishevë/Malisevo.  Bytyqi also revealed the names of Kosovo Assembly MPs for which Morina stole votes for, including Jakup Krasniqi, Fatmir Limaj and Haxhi Shala.

Morina denied these accusations. He said that he was not sentenced for ballot theft as Vetëvendosje claims. Morina added that sentence to six-months on parole does not stop him from running with a municipal department.

Municipality mayor Ragip Begaj said that he will take decision in compliance with the law, the moment that he will get official information from the court. Begaj said that he was not aware that Morina was involved in a legal process.
