Municipal assemblies of Leposavić/Leposaviç and Zvečan/Zveçan have scheduled their sessions for today at 17:00, where they are supposed to harmonize statutes with the Kosovo legislations. In the contrary they will be disbanded.

Leaders of majority Serb municipalities said that Kosovo statehood symbols are unacceptable for them.

President of the Zubin Potok Municipality Nemanja Jakšić said to Bega agency that some amendments have been made to the draft statutes, however they are not ‘epochal’, as he put it.

“Kosovo symbols on the seals and documents are not acceptable for us, however councilors will have the last say with regards to objections,” said Jakšić.

Other two majority Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo, North Mitrovica and Zubin Potok will have another week, that is, until 22 April, to harmonize their statues with the Kosovo legislation.
