International Earth Day marked in Kosovo (Radio Kosova)

Twenty Two April marks International Earth Day, the day which has awareness of humankind to protect environment. This day is also marked in Kosovo through different activities from the Ministry of Environment and organization “Green Art Centre”. The International Earth Day is marked while giving importance to the environment and giving messages for greener cities.

In this day, Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning organized an event to plant trees in parks. Kreshnik Berisha, advisor in this ministry, said that this initiative started earlier also in the city of Prizren. Also, organization Green Art Centre, in international Earth Day is organizing activities for protection of environment in 15 schools in Pristine/Pristina, Obiliq/Obilic and Fushe Kosove/Kosovo Polje

The International Earth Day serves to alarm about the human damages caused to forests, rivers, land and other assets of nature and to reflect to stop this destruction. The International Earth Day is marked since 1962
