Within the first six months after the new municipal leadership took the office of Gračanica/Graçanicë Municipality, best results are scored in culture, concluded representatives of the local self-government.
In the future municipality leadership plans to support developments in tourism, agriculture and health sector, which, according the Mayor of Gračanica/Graçanicë Branimir Stojanovic, are sectors where new work places could open. However, he said, municipality is not able to completely settle problems with regards to unemployment, but is ready to assist to all private entrepreneurs who have concrete ideas.
At the presentation of so far results in Media Center in Čaglavica/Çagllavicë, Stojanovic called private entrepreneurs to come to municipality with initiatives and concrete proposals, instead with requests for getting jobs.
Addressing the role of the municipality in education and health sectors, which are functioning in the system of the Republic of Serbia, Stojanovic stressed that municipality offers exclusively technical support. He went on to say that it refers to bills and other technical support, but they are not infringing in the education curriculum. “Our relation will remain such as long as Brussels agreements doesn’t start with the implementation,” said Stojanovic and explained that Community/Association of Serbian Municipalities is supposed to fully define those relations.
