Lumir Abdixhiku considers that the Constitutional Court only produced more confusion at the time when everyone was expecting its clarification on the issue of the candidate for creation of the future government. “The Constitutional Court allowed each party to interpret its verdict in the way they pleased, creating a typical Kosovar tangle,” he writes.
“Even though I want to reject it as a thought, because it does not leave a good taste, there is a logical probability that (intentionally or not,) the entire idea of leaving the decision for the candidate of the future government to the judgment of the President has been transformed into a strong card of the real decision-maker in this small and incapable country, the international community. They will decide on the future government through the judgment of the President nominated by them (through an envelope) depending on who will convince or who has already convinced them by now,” writes Abdixhiku. In other words, he adds, the new candidate will not depend on the discretion of the President, but on the discretion of the internationals who exercise authority over the President nominated by them.
“It is certain at this point, that parties, especially those in opposition, do not have much luxury of conditioning internationals with discussions, privatization or macro management of the country, because they can be immediately replaced by President’s discretion – an enormous, easy and institutionalized power, stamped and submitted to them without any performance or words,” concludes Abdixhiku.
