The leader of the block LDK-AAK-NISMA (Initiative for Kosovo) Ramush Haradinaj said that there are no more barricades on the main bridge over the Ibar/Ibër River  in Kosovska Mitrovica.

“I can say, as a future prime minister, that there are no more barricades at Ibar/Ibër River. There is a bit of gravel and some flowers, but no barricades,” said Haradinaj in the TV Kohavision program ‘Rubikon’. He went on to say that barricades have been removed but that biggest barricades remain in the heads of people.

Haradinaj also noticed that integration of northern Kosovo is long and difficult process. With regards to creation of the new government Haradinaj assessed that outcome is already known and that government will be created by his coalition, and underscored that the Serbian List will be the part of the government.

“The Serbian List will be the part of the government because it is, like other non-Serbian minorities, part of our society and they should be most active in the functioning of the government since that is reality,” said Haradinaj. He invited the Serbian List for the joint work in building the better life.

Reflecting on the dialogue with Serbia Haradinaj said that dialogue should continue, however he underlined that all what was agreed must be implemented as well, in order that dialogue is not led for the sake of the dialogue itself.

Haradinaj added that Kosovo didn’t achieve any progress from the so far dialogue since it didn’t get the visa liberalization, whereas Serbia is moving toward the EU membership, with big steps.

“All in Brussels say that it is good that we have dialogue with Serbia, but they tell us that due to huge corruption and poor rule of law, Kosovo can’t get visa liberalization. Thus, we, as a political block, agreed that we have to do something to pull out Kosovo from such a difficult situation,” said Haradinaj.
