Several dailies run an open letter that Donika Gervalla-Schwartz has sent to members of the General Council of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Gervalla, daughter of Jusuf Gervalla, Kosovo Albanian political activist assassinated in 1982 in Berlin, rejects the idea that the LDK should give the post of prime minister to Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK). “The LDK leader quickly forgot his promises that the post of prime minister would not be negotiated with anyone and that he would resign from the post of party leader if he is defeated in national elections … I call on all members of the General Council not to remain silent but to show dignity and prevent the further destruction of the LDK,” Gervalla writes.
