The light at the end of the tunnel (Zeri)

Th editorial suggests that there are several indications that Hashim Thaçi and his collaborators have accepted the reality, which appears to be bitter for some of them. The first sign is the confusing situation at the constitutive session of the Assembly, then their statement that both parties have the right to propose the Assembly Speaker therefore the issue should be sent to the Constitutional Court… Obviously, the intention was to prolong the process of the election of Kosovo’s legislative and executive leadership as much as possible. Therefore the governing party has decided to set as many obstacles as possible to its rivals, the after-election coalition, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA).

Despite the decision of the Constitutional Court, PDK and its leaders are aware that they cannot achieve anything due to the fact that no one wants to govern with them. The idea for new elections might even be objected by some members of this party, because they cannot afford to buy votes once again. Therefore, chances for PDK to form majority are minimal. The only thing that this party can achieve is impede and delay the coalition block to take over the key institutions of Kosovo. Hashim Thaci sees the light at the end of the tunnel that he mentioned in his Facebook profile, only on inducing clashes among the parties in the coalition and drawing a number of their members to his side.
