The Chairman of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija of the Serbian Assembly, Milovan Drecun said that there are many questions that need to be open in the area of normalization of relations, but it is obvious that the intention of Pristina is to slow down the process, particularly when it comes to the Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO). “The key question is when the executive power in Pristina will be formed. Until that happens, we will not have collocutor to discuss the issue,” said Drecun for TV Pink.

Drecun said that the biggest problem is that even the European Union has not defined the criteria, nor it is known in which way the issue of Kosovo and Metohija (as stipulated by the Brussels agreement) will be presented when the screening of the chapter 35 starts. Chairman of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, said that the most important thing is the ZSO and opening the sections that are important for the lives of people. These are issues of property, position of the Orthodox Church, the return of refugees and overcome of stalemates in the prosecution of those who committed crimes against Serbs and other non-Albanians, said Drecun.

Chairman of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, said that the substantial progress would be if a direct talks between Belgrade and Pristina could be achieved.

He noted that the report of the Chief Prosecutor of the EU Special Investigation Team on KLA crimes, Clint Williamson, is quite selective and that it shows that there was political interference. Drecun added that the report is inconsistent with the report of Council of Europe Rapporteur on trafficking in human organs in Kosovo, Dick Marty, who opened the issue of war crimes, including illegal trafficking in organs, while in Williamson’s report is “unacceptable degradation of the number of these victims.”
