Serb returnees in village Žač in Istok/Istog Municipality in Kosovo and Metohija are left without electricity for seven days now.

One of returnees in the village Žač Veljko Komatović said to Tanjug that today is the 7th day since they are left without electricity on last Tuesday, after the region suffered from the bad weather.

“There is electricity in the entire region, even in our village, only 9 Serb houses which are supplied with electricity from a separate transformer, which had exploded, are left without it. It is about nine families with seven small children, including a baby,” said Komatović.

He stressed that relevant authorities from KEK didn’t appear despite their promises that they will come on Monday to fix the problem.

Komatović said that they have suffered grate damage and that they have to throw away all food from their fridges due to high temperatures and added that all relevant bodies have been informed about the problems but still they are without electricity for seven days now.
