Gorazdevc/Gorazdevac on Wednesday marked 11 years of Bistrica murders

(RTK2 and Klan Kosova)

Now 11 years Senka Jovovic visits her son’s grave and cries. Ivan, aged 19 and one of his friends were killed in the attack in Gorazdevc/Gorazdevac near the town of Pejë/Pec, and four other young adults were seriously wounded.

Commemoration even this year was marked with the complaint that for more than a decade the perpetrators are not found.

On behalf of Jovovic family the complaint is repeated by a Dusan Kozarev a high official who came from Belgrade.

Kozarev stated “Someone was interested to kill them and to frighten the Serbs of this area to flee the holy land, but they were not able to reach this. Together with the international community we will try to find the culprits, even the temporary institutions of Prishtinë/Pristina should do something”.

After the murder, the UN mission in Kosovo, UNMIK, offered EUR 1 million as reward for witnesses to witness. In absence of witnesses the case was closed.

Guests from Belgrade couldn’t deny that behind the murder could be someone from state of Serbia like the case that is known as “Panda”, where in 1998 in the center of Pejë/Pec were murdered 6 Serbs, but they just require that individuals responsible for the murder to be brought before justice.

“Same as in “Panda” case even in this case those who committed the crime should be brought before justice. I don’t want to speculate, we are still investigating and who ever committed the crime will be punished.” stated Kozarev.

Four other wounded and their family’s now live in Serbia and state of Serbia provides them monthly payments for the rest of their lives.

Actually in Gorazdevc/Gorazdevac near Pejë/Pec live around 1000 Serbs Klan Kosova reports.

Jahjaga criticized, Graçanicë/Gracanica without state symbols

(KTV)

The president of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga visited state institutions that do not display flag or emblem of the Republic of Kosovo.

Kosovo’s president visited public institutions in Graçanicë/Gracanica municipality where there were only Serb flags, even though the Law on use of state symbols obliges all public institutions to display the flag and emblem of the Republic of Kosovo.

Political parties consider this as violation of law from the president Jahjaga and legalization of this violation by Graçanicë/Gracanica municipality.

Teuta Sahatqija deputy chairman of LDK said “I think that President made a mistake. She shouldn’t visit places where the state of Kosovo is not respected. On the other side I think that Prishtinë/Pristina municipality is not a good example that state of Kosovo is being respected.

Same concerns were expressed by AAK and Vetëvëndosje. They also criticized president Jahjaga that she didn’t say a word after the Mayor of Graçanicë/Gracanica demanded justice for the Serb victims in Kosovo that according to him” only like this will have peace between two states”, KTV reports.
