Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga visited today the headquarters of Kosovo Police in Pristina and met with police general director Shpend Maxhuni and other senior police officials. “I came to visit the Police of the Republic of Kosovo today to offer them institutional support for the work and commitment of all men and women in this important security mechanism and at the same time our unreserved support to the institution that guarantees the security of all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. Kosovo Police continues to be among institutions that enjoy the respect and trust of all communities. The latest operation by Kosovo Police against individuals who are suspected of terrorist activities confirms the coordination between institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, and the unwavering commitment of the police force to safeguard and guarantee our national security. We are committed to guaranteeing the liberty of every member of our state and justice is equal for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. Whoever is not on this side will certainly face the rule of law,” Jahjaga said.
