Josip Juratovic, member of the German Bundestag, stated that Pristina was the least to impede Serbia in its path towards EU. “Pristina wanted Serbia within EU as well, because this would also be an opportunity for Kosovo to come out of the isolation,” he said. Asked whether Germany would request another agreement for normalization of the relations between Belgrade and Pristina prior to the discussions to accept Serbia’s integration in the EU, he said that Germany is not setting new conditions since the agreements signed by the EU are considered thoroughly and they do not change based on somebody’s caprices.
“Recently, Serbia has done a lot for its integration in the EU, however, except for the serious intention to complete the reforms, it is also required to build good relations with its neighbors, as the other countries have done prior to joining the EU,” said Juratovic.
