Representatives of the Kosovo-Metohija and Serbia’s respective associations of journalists, marking 16 years since Radio Pristina journalists Đuro Slavuj and Ranko Perenica were kidnapped, put a memorial plate on the site where they went missing, near Orahovac, Kosmet, for the third time.

The two previous memorial plates, placed in 2012 and 2013 respetively, had been destroyed. The president of the Kosovo-Metohija Press Association, Budimir Nicić, stressed, while the new plate was being placed, that in the past 16 years the Kosovo authorities had nothing to shed light on the fate of the missing journalists, who were just doing their job at the time when they went missing and neither carried a weapon nor wore a uniform. Nicić appealed to the solidarity of his colleagues in the Province, adding that they should invest more effort in having the competent authorities to find and punish the perpetrators.
