Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtic asseses shot on a house of family Dabetic in Istok municicipality as a message to returnees that in some parts of Kosovo they are not welcome.
“After these events, where the returnee houses and returnees themselves are very often lately under attack, does not contribute to mass return to Kosovo or survival of those who returned”.
In a statement released to the media Jevtic said that the absence of family Dabetic at the time of the attack prevented greater tragedy that would have major consequences for all inhabitants of Kosovo.
“A shot at returnee’s house of Tomislav Dabetic is a shot to return and survivel in Kosovo. Once again I appeal all relevant factors which provide security in Kosovo to raise the level of vigilance to the highest level when it comes to returnees and provide them with maximum protection,” concluded Jevtic.
