Veseli: PDK will not provoke early elections

(RTK1)

In an interview with the US newspaper New York, PDK deputy president Kadri Veseli spoke about PDK’s view for solving of the current political deadlock in the country and if this political party is afraid of new elections and remaining in opposition.

“In democratic elections there are winners, but also losers. The sense of loss and demonstration of a desire for a victory at all costs without prejudice to ways and means, just as the case of the current opposition bloc against PDK, is not conducive to a sound political climate in our country, at the time of numerous challenges related to building our nation,” Veseli said.

“We are against the establishment of such a logic that shifts the focus away from the priorities such as strengthening our democratic institutions, economic welfare, Euro-Atlantic integrations…Therefore, in spite of that, PDK will not provoke early elections nor will we be held responsible if they were to occur, although if they were to happen, we are convinced that they would be yet another resounding victory for us,” he added.
