LAN bloc reaches agreement with Vetëvendosje

(All monitored broadcasters, KTV)

Agreement between LDK-AAK-Nisma (LAN) bloc and Vetëvendosje Movement has been reached. This was confirmed by the AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj. He considers this as an agreement of principles, saying that Vetëvendosje’s position will be one of the partners in building institutions, but he did not want to speak a lot about the agreement document itself.

Haradinaj made these statements following the meeting they had with Srpska List MPs. Srpska pledged its support to LAN for 12 September session of the Assembly.

Aleksandar Jablanovic of Srpska List said that on 12 September session they will support LAN bloc and its candidate for the Assembly Speaker Isa Mustafa.

In the meantime, Koha.net portal got hold of the written document agreement between LAN and Vetëvendosje. Country’s economic growth, employment growth and the welfare of citizens, substantial reforms in education and health, strengthening the rule of law and the fight against organized crime and corruption, have been listed among the key points of this agreement.

Apart of these, in the document that Koha.net got hold off, the parties agreed to undertake institutional reforms with aim to democratize the country and increase efficiency of institutions.

The agreement between LAN bloc and Vetëvendosje will be made official on Wednesday at 13:00hrs at the Kosovo Assembly premises.

PDK nominated Arsim Bajrami as its candidate for the Assembly Speaker’s post. A press statement issued by this political party reads that PDK chairmanship unanimously decided to nominate Arsim Bajrami as the single candidate of PDK and its coalition for the Assembly Speaker of the Republic of Kosovo.

Talking to Klan Kosova’s Infomagazine show, AAK Secretary General Burim Ramadani said that 83 MPs will have the chance to vote Isa Mustafa for the Assembly Speaker. According to Ramadani, PDK candidate Arsim Bajrami will hardly manage to convince his caucus, let alone the Assembly.

Ramadani also revealed that Vetëvendosje Movement will have an extremely significant, functional and qualitative role in the issue of talks with Serbia.
