Continuation of the Kosovo Assembly’s constitutive session is postponed for 18 September, following the request of the Serbian List. By this postponement the Serbian List is seeking additional consultations due to its disagreement with the stance of the movement Self-Determination for revision and the eventual discontinuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

“Brussels Agreement has been concluded based on agreements and hard talks between representatives of Belgrade and Pristina, facilitated by the international community. Change of the Brussels Agreement and return to all that was agreed on 19 April is unacceptable for us,” said Aleksandar Jablanovic, the chairperson of the Serbian List.

In Self-Determination say that dialogue will be carried out only with the European Union, European Commission and Kosovo Serbs, but not with Belgrade. “We can’t decide on who will be in Albanian delegation, however dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina must continue,” said Marko Djuric, Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

Besides Serbia, international representatives in Kosovo also expressed concerns due to the position of Self-Determination. Chairperson of the Serbian parliament’s Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun says that dialogue will be carried out by prime ministers, whereas Self-Determination representative will be on the helm of Pristina’s technical team, which will be comprised by members of other parties too.

“The most important thing for us is that everything remains in the status neutral framework and that agreed is implemented. Pristina can’t expect, or hope, that it will revise what was already agreed, whereas such revision would firstly refer to the community of Serbian municipalities. If the community of Serbian municipalities is not established, it is illusionary to discuss any further normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina,” Drecun said.

The Serbian List representatives have not alleged eventual withdrawal of their support to coalition of four Albanian parties. They underlined that such level of agreements refers exclusively to the Kosovo Assembly, and not to the creation of future government.
