Opposition bloc with strategy to exhaust PDK (Koha)
The opposition coalition consisting of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Vetevendosje Movement, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), have now changed their approach vis-a-vis the post of Assembly President. LDK leader Isa Mustafa does not want his eventual election as Assembly President to be contested, therefore, the opposition coalition intends to allow the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) to try to elect their candidate until it realizes that it cannot do so. LDK MP Vjosa Osmani said the PDK will fail every time it attempts to elect the Assembly President and the people of Kosovo will realize that the PDK has no partners.

Isa Mustafa, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), writes on his Facebook account today that the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) ranks first after the national elections, but that it lacks the majorit in the Assembly of Kosovo. Mustafa said the coalition would cooperate President Jahjaga and respect the will of the majority in the Assembly. Mustafa writes that a coalition government of the LDK, Vetevendosje, AAK and NISMA and non-majority communities would combat corruption, organized crime and the seizure of the state. Mustafa also called on Assembly chairperson, Flora Brovina, to call the next assembly session without wasting any time.
Osmani: Bloc can communicate with PDK only in the Assembly (dailies)
Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP, Vjosa Osmani, told RTV21 on Friday that the opposition coalition is ready to communicate with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), but only in the Assembly. Osmani said the PDK should not hope for new national elections, because the latest decision of the Constitutional Court does not foresee such an option. Osmani said based from previous experiences the coalition does not prefer behind-closed-doors meeting with the PDK because it does not trust it.
Hoxha: There may be new terrorism-related arrests (Koha)
Acting state chief prosecutor, Syle Hoxha, said in a TV interview on Friday that there may be new terrorism-related arrests. Hoxha said the Special Prosecution would launch investigations and arrest anyone who is believed to be involved in terrorist activities.
Ashton hails energy agreement between Kosovo and Serbia (Lajmi)
Catherine Ashton, the European Union High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, has welcomed the agreeement on energy transmission between Kosovo and Serbia. A press release issued by Ashton’s office said the agreement marks another step forward in the normalization of relations between the two sides. The statement also notes that there is an operational plan in place for the implementation of the agreement.
