Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said that Serbia and Kosovo cannot sign intergovernmental agreements, as reported by the Pristina press, because Belgrade and Pristina do not talk as two countries, but rather as the central government and a province.

Djuric said that, however, it is very important to continue the negotiations and reach a political agreement on normalization.

“We do not want to build the future of all citizens of Kosovo in a conflict, but rather within a normal relationship. There are things about which we can never agree, but that does not mean that we should abandon the view that what is good for the Serbs is not for the Albanians and vice versa,” Djuric said in the morning program of Radio Television Serbia (RTS).

Djuric is in Kosovo where he will attend the event “Bozur Fest”, organized by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija. The event starts today and will last until September 27.
