The SLS President, Slobodan Petrovic said that it is very important to reach a solution of the political crisis in Kosovo because the formation of the Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) depends of it.

Petrovic told Tanjug that it is important to find a solution to the political crisis in Kosovo that would allow the election of the Speaker of Parliament or the formation of a new Government.

Petrovic said he could not specify when or whether at all it will come to the continuation of the inaugural session of the Kosovo Assembly, noting that alternative are new elections which, he said, are the least good solution.

In any case, Petrovic said, even worse is this political status because we have no winners, and the biggest losers are the citizens of Kosovo.

Petrovic, who is also the Minister of Administration and Local Self-Government, said that all “more or less stopped.” He said that, when it comes to the formation of the ZSO, a lot is done and stressed good cooperation with the preparatory team for the establishment of the ZSO.

Petrovic said that all technical matters related to the establishment of the ZSO mostly are completed and now awaits only the formation of a new Government.

According to him, the technical Kosovo government is functioning, but it is aggravating circumstance an anticipation of the establishment of new institutions, where the problem may be the budget for the coming year.

“The problem now is creation of the budget for 2015 because the preparation of the implementation of the budget is already late. Certainly, it will have certain effects to the budget for next year which will surely effect the work of institutions and local municipal assemblies,” Petrovic said.
