The Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor of Serbia and EULEX will verify information on the existence of a mass grave of Serbian victims in the village Piskota in Gjakove/Gjakovica municipality, the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor in Belgrade announced today.

According to the press release, it is suspected that the grave contains the bodies of people killed during the armed conflict in Kosovo in 1998 and 1999.

The Serbian prosecution has information that the location could possibly contain the remains of victims of KLA crimes in the “Likovci” prison camp.

EULEX Prosecution has ordered the exhumation, autopsy and identification of possible human remains at the site.
