“Kosovo is faced with the biggest challenge so far. That challenge is about to remove Hashim Thaci’s regime from power, or there will be a revolution in the streets,” claims political analyst Fatmir Sheholli.

He said that without Kosovo government being formed, Kosovo is heading toward the bankruptcy, since there is no new budget revision, no new projects and salaries for employees. “When there is no other way one has nothing else at disposal than to show a force he poses, and that force is democracy within citizens, which might wish to be presented, at certain moment, as something that might be called a revolution,” said Sheholli.

He went on to say that continuation of the parliament’s constitutive session, which took place yesterday, was democratic and that pressure was exerted on the Secretariat by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) in order that no one receives official invitation, despite the fact that everybody knew that session will take place.

Sheholli said that the Serbian List should be on the side of democracy, and that they can’t reach their goals with the Democratic Party of Kosovo, but with those who have majority.

When asked about the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and Self-Determination’s role, Sheholli said that negotiations are carried out based on arguments and that persons involved in negotiations should not be in the focus.

“The Serbian List has a lot of arguments. A lot of property of Serbs has been usurped, cases are pending for 15 years in courts, there are less than 20 Serbs living in Pristina, the association of Serb municipalities has not been formed, those are topics that should be discussed instead of who would lead negotiations,” said Sheholli.
